Getafe CF have completed the signings of two of UCD La Cañada Atlético’s brightest prospects, Mady Macalou and Ebrahima Drammeh, for their reserve team. The Madrid-based club, who finished the 2025 La Liga season in 8th place with 41 points (12 wins, 5 draws, 14 losses), continue to invest in young talent to strengthen their long-term project.
Who are Getafe’s new reserve team signings?
Mady Macalou, an 18-year-old midfielder, stood out last season in División de Honor Juvenil with three goals. He has already featured for the first team in pre-season, even starting against Atlético de Madrid. Meanwhile, 17-year-old forward Ebrahima Drammeh scored 12 goals in 32 games for La Cañada and has signed a four-year deal with the reserve side, where he will work under manager Manu del Moral.
Why are they important for Getafe?
Signing youngsters like Macalou and Drammeh aligns with Getafe’s strategy of nurturing homegrown talent. Macalou has already shown he can adapt to La Liga’s intensity in pre-season friendlies, while Drammeh’s goal-scoring instincts could prove vital for the B team.
